The trading session for the day has been halted
after the index lost 5% in the first two hours of trading.
The index opened at 2,928.80 and immediately
went on a downward spiral. It went as low as 2,779.68, hence hitting the 40
minutes halt after it lost 5.03% from last week's closing at 2,926.89.
The market has been closed for 40 minutes after
the circuit break.
